What I’m Lovin’ in July

Read on to see what I’ve been lovin’ this month!

 1. Organizing e v e r y t h i n g

I have been on an organizing kick lately! A few things I’m loving: this toothbrush stand that won’t collect water in the bottom like our last one (ew), our new robot vacuum (multiple dogs + toddler = absolute necessity), this under sink organizer is on my wish list.

In related news, Kelli of True Bias combined my love of organizing + my love of fabric with her new method of storing fabric.

 2. Sewing Hacks

Heather Handmade shared 15 sewing room hacks – Her penny trick for lightweight dresses is genius!

{PS: Heather is also the designer behind the Upcycled T-Shirt Dress I made for Andy!}

For my fellow sewing perfectionists who love print fabric and garments with pockets, check out this slideshow on pattern-matching (her fabric is ah-meow-zing).

3. Plants

Right now I want all.the.plants. My boss let me take home part of our office snake plant – I named him Fred and we love him.

Then I found this classic at a local thrift store – it’s a really handy book if you like houseplants!

And these 12 plant hacks are truly clever!

 4. Recycling

Did you know you can send old electronics to Amazon for credit?

 5. Prime Day {confessions}

These leggings were my Amazon Prime Day treat! The high-waist with tummy control makes me feel much less jiggly while working out 😉

My other Prime Day purchases: freezer bags and parchment paper in bulk (#OldLady) and this shape sorter for Andy.

Now that you know my nerdy Prime Day purchases, tell me what you got!

 6. Mom’spiration

This 3-months-postpartum post is so lovely. Her thoughts reminded me a lot of how I was feeling when I wrote this post.

 7. #HaveLegsWillWearShorts

I really love this initiative from Grace of Maker Mountain Fabrics and Christina.

Thank you for reading along & being a part of my community. ❤

Author: Jordan Slice-Metcalfe

My name is Jordan. I'm a full-time working mom whose coffee cup is always half full (and probably still in the microwave). I've got a weak spot for rescuing old dogs, pretending pizza is a vegetable, negotiating dessert with every meal, propagating more plants than any home needs, dreaming of sewing projects while my husband is talking to me, and loving my tribe too deep.
