What I’m Lovin’ in June

This month hasn’t been as sunny as I’d hoped, but I’ve still got a list of random things I found delightful on the internet so feel free to escape into these for a distraction! 😉

 1. Emojis

Finding out what my most-used emoji says about me made me feel so exposed!

 2. Coloring

We could all use a relaxing hobby we can partake in right now – these 10 free coloring pages are a good place to start! These Ruth Bader Ginsburg coloring sheets are another internet gem.

 3. This 2-year-old is now a member of MENSA

She’s the youngest member in the US.

Podcast Episodes I’m Lovin’ Right Now:

This American Life: 771: The Parents Step In

[open in iTunes]

  • Kind of a heavy story, but it’s sprinkled with glimmers of hope. Definitely worth a listen.

We Can Do Hard Things with Glennon Doyle: How We’ll Save Our Kids From the Gun Lobby’s Greed with Shannon Watts

[open in iTunes]

  • If you’ve felt powerless after the recent mass shootings, Shannon is here to lift you up with actionable tips. She is the founder of Moms Demand Action.

It Sure Is A Beautiful Day: Katie Couric on Sexism, Workplace Power Dynamics, Aging, and Love

[open in iTunes]

  • When I started bingeing podcasts a few years ago, I ran across Naked with Catt Sadler and loved listening to her interviews. She leads such cozy, unfiltered conversations. This episode with Katie Couric is no exception!

Pantsuit Politics: “It’s Your Friends Who Break Your Heart” with Jennifer Senior

[open in iTunes]

  • Beth and Sarah’s conversation with Jennifer covers a great landscape – from how important conflict is to a friendship, the impact of our desire for individualism vs. our need for camaraderie, how mothers (specifically) have a compulsion to be the perfect parent but good enough should be the standard.

Thank you for reading along & being a part of my community. ❤

My name is Jordan. I'm a full-time working mom whose coffee cup is always half full (and probably still in the microwave). I've got a weak spot for rescuing old dogs, pretending pizza is a vegetable, negotiating dessert with every meal, propagating more plants than any home needs, dreaming of sewing projects while my husband is talking to me, and loving my tribe too deep.
