Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog! I’m so glad you are stopping by and I hope you will continue to! I’m starting this blog as a platform for me to give you a “behind the scenes” view of resliced. In addition, my other hobbies and obsessions will work their way in on occasion.
Here are a few things you can expect: evaluation tips or cool new [free] tools I discover (I’ll try to keep these general so you can use them in any field), the saga of my running adventures (2 half marathons down & more to come in my battle of being the most uncoordinated girl you know), my fur babies (or just my shameless promotion of pet adoption), so-easy-you-could-almost-make-it-in-your-sleep vegetarian recipes (I mostly hack existing vegetarian recipes by trying to find the laziest way possible to recreate it), and last, you can certainly expect DIY tutorials (if you’re interested in anything specific – especially related to items I’ve already made – just ask!).
My sister will also be stopping by to balance out the blog from time-to-time. While we disagree on almost everything, we stick together like glue, spend ridiculous amounts of time together and rely heavily on each other for support.

She’s much more likely to get her hands dirty (she loves to garden), much better with kids (she’s a teacher) and far handier than I’ll ever be (staining her kitchen cabinets followed by a sunset sail on the lake makes for her perfect weekend). I think you’ll agree that she brings a good balance to the blog!
One recurring theme I plan to bring to the blog will be a post about “what I’m lovin’ this month.” Beginning in May, this post will occur on the last Friday of every month. This list might include anything from a kitchen gadget that changed my outlook on home-cookin’ to an idea for a date night with the Hubs.
On that note, welcome and I hope to see you around more often! 🙂
Yay! So glad to see you up and running Jordan. I can’t wait to see what you have in store.
Thanks Susan! And thank you for all of your help and support along the way! 🙂
Jordy do I have to do a password or something to like your blog or what
At the top of the page (or the very bottom if you’re on a mobile device), you’ll see a bar that says “Follow this blog via email”. Enter your email in the bar and click the “follow” button. At that point, you’re good to go! You’ll receive emails alerting you when a new post goes up.
Oh! Yay! I’m going to love this blog – I hope you love blogging!
I’m so glad you like it so far JBB! I’m really loving blogging so far! 🙂 Thanks for all your help along the way!
Yay Jordan! I look forward to reading about your interests and adventures! 🙂 Gail
Hi Gail! I’m so happy you stopped by my blog! I’m excited to report I got a lot of use this year out of the beautiful scarf you made–it snowed twice in SC this winter! Hope you (& the Scarf Shack) are doing well!
I’m so glad you were able to enjoy your scarf! I had to take an extended vacation while we moved to New Mexico, but Scarf Shack is open again and business is starting to pick up. I actually quit my day job and am enjoying giving more time to my shop and my craft! Our new home is in a slightly cooler climate, so we’ll get at least a couple of snows per year, and I’ll get to wear scarves more often too! I look forward to your future posts! Be well, my friend! 🙂
How exciting!!! I can’t wait to see all that you do with your shop this year!! Best of luck! Keep in touch!
