I hope you all had a great weekend celebrating Dad!
Today I’m recapping my Saturday – I’ll recap Father’s Day soon with a new tasty summer recipe!
This weekend I was pet sitting for a friend who lives in one of my favorite neighborhoods downtown so I happily worked in early morning runs (thank goodness the heat this weekend didn’t come bundled with our usual thick humidity).

She also has the most amazing claw foot tub so I spent my wild Friday night soaking in bubbles and mentally redesigning my own bathroom (I went so far as to have the Hubs come over and take a look to see how much we could realistic recreate at home…).

Since I wasn’t far, I moseyed down to the Soda City market Saturday morning. It’s a good thing I ran that morning because I left with more sweets than I should admit: macaroons from Ally & Eloise (did you see the cakepops they donated for the Craft Party?! They were so tasty I had to try the macaroons!), lemon curd scones and a french loaf from Heather’s Artisan Bakery AND a cronut (it’s some genius hybrid of a croissant + a donut) & 2 chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter icing from Spotted Salamander.
To be fair, the last 2 cupcakes were free because it was Spotted Salamander‘s 6th birthday! And also to be fair again, they gave me a 2nd cupcake because they said my wishing them happy birthday was so enthusiastic I deserved two (which I happily took because obviously I didn’t have enough sugar in my market bag already).

So now that I’ve shared with you my journey to a weekend sugar coma, I should confess my primary motivation to getting up early for the market on Saturday: it was Lindsey’s 30th birthday! Not only that, but Lindsey was offering 20% off all her Saint & Rambler vintage goodies! So obviously I had to go stock up & wish my friend a very happy birthday!
I was so overwhelmed with the choices at the market on Saturday, I almost forgot about the second block until I found my friend Sally (of Nana bags) who helped redirect me to where Lindsey was. [It would’ve been super tragic if I’d left without wardrobe shopping..]
Let me tell you – Lindsey has some vintage bathing suits right now that are just breath taking. I’m currently trying to figure out how to plan a warm vacation so I have an excuse to buy a few (does Lake Murray count?!).
![This scalloped bust bathing suit is what vintage dreams are made of! [My picture doesn't do it justice - you need to see it in person next time S&R is at Soda City!]](https://reslicedbyjordan.files.wordpress.com/2014/06/scalloped-suit.jpg?w=200&h=300)

Follow Saint & Rambler on Facebook so you’ll know when to catch her around town!
I hope you all had a great weekend too!!
