What I’m Lovin’ in September

It’s a short list this month, but keep reading to hear all about what I’ve been lovin’…

 1. Meredith’s Fall Making Checklist for Sew Liberated

I really appreciate the six questions Meredith recommends asking yourself before embarking on a new sewing project. I am going to work to incorporate those into my process!

 2. There’s a documentary about Alanis Morissette coming out soon!

My sister & I are HUGE fans of Alanis. No doubt we’ll be finding a way to see the upcoming documentary despite the controversy.

 3. Taking a more considerate approach to sharenting

As a habitual overthinker, I found comfort in reading about how these four parents share about their kids on social media.

Podcast Episodes I’m Lovin’ Right Now:

We Can Do Hard Things: 23. Lightening Love & Not Calming

[open in iTunes]

  • The trio discussed meeting dynamics and who should be speaking up (those with less privilege) vs. who should be doing more listening (those with the most privilege) and how to make it happen.
  • Also discussed: the outdated ideal of love that feels like lightening striking.

Thank you for reading along & being a part of my community. ❤

My name is Jordan. I'm a full-time working mom whose coffee cup is always half full (and probably still in the microwave). I've got a weak spot for rescuing old dogs, pretending pizza is a vegetable, negotiating dessert with every meal, propagating more plants than any home needs, dreaming of sewing projects while my husband is talking to me, and loving my tribe too deep.
