What I’m Lovin’ in December

I hope you’re all soaking up holiday time with loved ones. If you want some light reading between gatherings or just a quiet moment to yourself, here’s your excuse: my favorites for December have arrived – Read on!

 1. This Football Player took his dogs on the field for Senior Day after both his parents passed away

Grab tissues…and your dogs.

 2. The importance of Just Being There

I, too, used to think everything needed to be Pinterest-worthy before showing up. This article was a good reminder of why just being there is what’s important.

 3. This All Well Cardigan Coat made from a Thrifted Quilt

I’ve been slowly working on the All Well Box Top (with the ruffle hem!) and am beyond impressed with how thorough the instructions are.

I’m in need of a casual cardigan/coat to alternate with my Wiksten Haori so I’ve already purchased my copy of The All Well Cardigan Coat and added it to my queue!

 4. Travel Planning (overplanning?)

This post proves that I am a Millennial. I have Google Docs for all of our trips dating back to 2012.

 5. Letting the Holiday Break be a true Vacation

This post about Why Christmas Vacation was SO much better in the 80’s was a necessary and timely reminder. Unstructured time is so valuable. By the time you’re reading this, I should be knee-deep in just that.

 6. These Leggings I’m Calling Pants

Loft was running their leggings 60% off which I discovered at very last minute and ordered these 6 minutes before the sale ended! The waistband is wide and high which is delightful for the mummy-tummy. (They’re very similar to these “pull-on tummy control” leggings I’ve had for years and love.)

 7. This Method of Managing Your Emotions that Research Says Can Help You Have Better-Behaved Kids

It all comes back to breathing.

 8. These DIY Natural Cleaning Methods

I’m saving this list (with 11 recipes!) for future reference.

Thank you for reading along & being a part of my community. ❤

My name is Jordan. I'm a full-time working mom whose coffee cup is always half full (and probably still in the microwave). I've got a weak spot for rescuing old dogs, pretending pizza is a vegetable, negotiating dessert with every meal, propagating more plants than any home needs, dreaming of sewing projects while my husband is talking to me, and loving my tribe too deep.
